The daily reports of the humanitarian disaster in the Turkish-Syrian border area shocked us all. The main cause for the many dead and injured people is the inadequate construction of many buildings – despite having a better knowledge. Many damages of the buildings could have been avoided by using our earthquake-resistant construction.

Within the Kast Group we have been developed several products and systems with our business partners and universities, such as the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT):

With our systems, the performance of masonry, for example, can be significantly improved in both new construction and renovation/refurbishment. Our systems act here like an additional “airbag”. This means that we significantly improve the properties of building components through our technical textiles and systems.
